Day 1

PARIS - MARRAKECH

Welcome on arrival at Marrakech-Ménara airport and transfer to your Riad to settle in and relax on the terrace.

You're in the medina, where the heart of Marrakech beats, and where the life of each district is organized: pink adobe houses stand side by side with beautiful residences and Riads, interspersed with grandiose buildings dating from the Almoravid period, such as the Koutoubia mosque, the Kasbah, the ramparts and the monumental gates.

Overnight at Riad Oriental Medina Riad & Spa (or similar): ideally located just an 11-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna square, the Riad's decor is inspired by Moorish motifs and ancestral craftsmanship, giving it a unique charm. You'll enjoy a sensory journey through materials and colors, as you relax in the indoor pool, enjoy a massage in the hammam and chill out on the rooftop terrace. Don't hesitate to discover the menu of refined local dishes served in the authentic restaurant or on the terrace (optional extra).

Day 2

MARRAKECH - RABAT

Breakfast, then transfer to Marrakech station for your departure to Rabat, the Kingdom's capital, at 09:50.

Arrive at 1:30pm in the City of Light, symbol of Moroccan culture. Because of its proximity, you'll reach your Riad on foot (approx. 500 m) along Rabat's most beautiful avenue. Take a stroll around the Riad, taking in the Rue des Consuls, the marina and the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Option (optional with supplement): Guided tour of the heart of Rabat (half-day, departing from the Riad): this city of light, African cultural capital in 2022 and administrative capital of Morocco, is well worth an in-depth visit. You'll admire the Kasbah des Oudayas, a veritable fortified city within the city (the Oudaïas were a tribe charged with defending the city from Andalusian pirates in the 12th century), the Andalusian garden where jasmine and orange trees exude their delicate fragrances, the medina, the Hassan Tower, the Royal Palace, the Mohammed V mausoleum in white Italian marble and the Chellah necropolis are all well worth a visit. Entrance fees and cab fares. Possibility of a traditional lunch.

Overnight at Riad Dar El Ghali (or similar): on the edge of the medina, close to the Kasbah des Oudayas and its beautiful Andalusian garden, Riad Dar El Ghali is a small, comfortable, authentic establishment full of charm. Relax on the terrace, overlooking the Rue des Consuls and the Bouregreg estuary as it flows into the ocean. The restaurant offers delicious local dishes indoors or on the terrace (optional extra).

Day 3

RABAT - FES

Breakfast.

Free morning in gentle Rabat, between ocean coastline and kasbah, palm trees and maze of alleys with pretty white and blue houses, to discover its Andalusian-inspired heritage.

Meet at Rabat station (approx. 500 m from the Riad) for your departure by train to Fez at 3:30 pm. Arrival at 6.30pm.

Welcome at the station and private transfer to your Riad in the Fès el-Bali medina.

Before dark, let your senses take over. Sip mint tea on the roof terrace and stroll through the medina.

Overnight at Riad Al Firdaous (or similar): in the heart of the Fès el-Bali district, the Riad's décor reflects the skills of traditional Fès craftsmen: weaving, brocade, leatherwork, metalwork and copperware, woodwork, pottery and zelliges... A veritable museum awaits you! All rooms are air-conditioned, decorated in the finest Arabo-Andalusian tradition, and feature WiFi access. This palace promises you a 100% zen moment, with a sauna, hammam and a massage, scrub and treatment room. The separate café and rooftop terrace are also perfect places to catch the energy of this extraordinary Unesco World Heritage city. The hotel's restaurant welcomes you every day for a Fassi gastronomic voyage in a setting worthy of a thousand and one nights (optional extra).

Day 4

FES

Breakfast.

Discover Fez, Morocco's oldest imperial city, at your own pace. A visit to Fez means stepping back in time, through its history, from the 8th century to the present day, to discover its ancient streets and sacred buildings such as the superb medersas, palaces, fountains and fondouks.

Option (optional with supplement): One-day guided tour of the heart of Fès, departing from the Riad: meet the guide with whom you'll stroll through the most important alleyways of the Fès El-Bali medina, an immense labyrinth of 300 districts and 9,000 alleyways! You'll come across some of the most beautiful places in Fès: the Bab Bou Jeloud gateway, the Bou Inania medersa, Talaa Kbira and Talaa Sghira (two of the medina's main thoroughfares), the Nejjarine museum and its fountain, the Dar Batha museum, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the largest mosque in the Eastern world, Al Quaraouiyine, the Chaoura tannery, the various souks, Place Seffarine and the Andalusian quarter. Entrance fees. Possibility of a traditional fassie lunch.

Day 5

FES - MEKNES - FES

Breakfast.

Meet at Fez station for your train to Meknes, departing at 9:40 am. Arrive at 10:15 a.m. for a day of free exploration.

Meknes is an impressive Hispano-Moorish city with green minarets, surrounded by high walls pierced by the monumental gates of Bâb Jama-En-Nouar and Bâb El Mansour. The imperial city stands out as a harmonious blend of Islamic and European styles in 17th-century Maghreb.

Option (optional at extra cost): guided tour of Meknes (half-day, upon arrival at the station): Meknes has a fascinating history and an impressive heritage. Founded in the 11th century by the Almoravids, it became the kingdom's capital under the reign of the Alaouite Moulay Ismaïl, who turned Meknes into a rich and prosperous city. During the French presence in Morocco, Meknes was nicknamed the "Little Paris" or the "Moroccan Versailles". Since 1996, the entire city of Meknes has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Protected by 40 km of 15-metre-high defensive walls and pierced by 9 monumental gates, the city has preserved some imposing major monuments, including 25 mosques that have earned it the nickname of the "city of 100 minarets". During the tour, your guide will tell you all about the history of Meknes, including the Dar Jamai museum, Place El Hédim and the Bou Inania medersa. Entrance fees. Possibility of a traditional lunch illustrating Meknes' age-old cuisine.

Option (optional with supplement): Visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss, departing from Meknes in a private vehicle (half-day, departing from Place El Hedim at 3pm, then returning to Meknes station at 6pm to catch the train): Located in the foothills of the Zerhoun massif, 28 km from Meknes, Volubilis takes its name from the Berber word "Oualili", which refers to the colorful flower of the bindweed, a plant abundant in the region. The Roman town of Volubilis rises up before you, with its remains, white marble columns, temple and the haughty silhouette of its triumphal arch. Volubilis is the largest archaeological site in Morocco, with 18 ha accessible to the public out of an estimated total surface area of 40 ha, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The site owes its fame to the many mosaics that adorn its ancient dwellings. A stone's throw away, you can visit the holy town of Moulay Idriss, at an altitude of 500 m, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its white farmhouses stretch across the mountain: a moment steeped in history awaits you.

Your return by train to Fez is scheduled for 6:13pm, arriving at 6:48pm.

Day 6

FES - MARRAKECH

Early breakfast, then transfer to Fez station to board the train for Marrakech, which you will reach at around 2.15pm.

Afternoon free to visit the "pink" city.

Day 7

MARRAKECH

Breakfast.

A free day to immerse yourself in the colorful life of Marrakech... Depending on your interests, you can visit the many gardens, including the most famous: the Majorelle gardens, visit the cultural sites, stroll through the medina, shop in the souks... or take a camel ride in the Agafay desert and end the day on the famous Djema El Fnaa square, where entertainment and street food are the order of the day.

Option (optional with supplement): Guided tour in the heart of Marrakech (half-day): visit the Koutoubia, Marrakech's largest mosque and the city's iconic landmark, where you'll meet your guide who will share his history and knowledge of Islam, its 5 pillars and its customs. The tour continues with a cab ride to the Bahia Palace, a 160-room edifice revealing the wealth of 19th-century Moroccan royalty. A few steps away, you'll pass through the old Jewish quarter to reach the Saadian tombs: this site dates back to the 17th century, and was discovered in 1917. It houses sumptuously ornate rooms and ceilings, and is a favorite with visitors from all over the world. A few steps away, head for the oldest part of the Medina, where your guide will lead you through a maze of streets, stalls, workshops and galleries wafting with intoxicating perfumes. End your guided tour on the famous Jemaa El Fna square: the colorful population of storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, orange juice sellers and tattoo artists is sure to catch your eye! Entrance fees. Possibility of a traditional lunch.
