Day 1

PARIS / TBILISSI

Arrival at Tbilisi airport in the evening. Transfer to your hotel (without French-speaking assistance) and check-in.

Day 2

TBILISSI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Guided tour of Tbilisi. Discover the Georgian capital with its narrow streets, colorful houses, wooden balconies balconies, ancient and modern quarters. Visit to the 13th-century Metekhi church, offering a superb view of the old town. The tour continues to the Narikhala citadel, dominating the city with its panoramic view. From the citadel, we descend to the baths district, famous for its sulfurous waters the city's name. Then on to Sioni Cathedral (7th century), home to the Cross of Saint Nino Nino, one of the sacred relics of the Georgian church.

Lunch in restaurant.

In the afternoon, stroll along Roustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi's "Champs-Elysées" with its museums, theaters and art galleries.

Dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 3

TBILISI / SIGNAGUI / BODBE / NEKRESSI / TELAVI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for the Kakhetia region, famous for its vineyards and beautiful landscapes in the heart of the Great Caucasus range and fertile valleys.

Visit to the Bodbe monastery, a sacred place for Georgians, where St. Nino, who Christianized the country, is buried. the country in the 4th century.

Visit the town of Signagui, one of the most beautiful in Georgia, with its ramparts, houses with jagged wooden balconies, harmonious colors and tiled roofs. Enjoy superb views of the Great Caucasus and the Alazani Valley.

Lunch of typical local dishes. You'll taste Mtsvadi, grilled meat skewers, an authentic culinary experience of the region.

Visit Nekressi monastery, the oldest in the region dating from the 4th century, perched on a hill with spectacular views.

Then on to Telavi, with a photo stop at the Grémi fortress, once the palace of King Levan.

Stroll through the center of Telavi and discover the old quarter with its cobbled streets and ancient buildings.

Check-in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

TELAVI / ALAVERDI / ANANURI / GUDAURI

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, visit the Telavi market, a meeting place for the local population. Here you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, Georgian delicacies and all sorts of spices.

Then visit Alaverdi Cathedral, the largest in the region, dating from the 11th century.

Lunch at the restaurant. Then off to the north of the country along the military road leading to the high peaks of the Caucasus.

En route, stop to admire the architectural complex of Ananuri, located at the junction of two rivers, whose fortress overlooks a magnificent lake surrounded by wooded hills.

Arrive in Gudauri, a famous winter sports resort, in the late afternoon.

Check-in at the hotel, dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

GUDAURI / STEPANTSMINDA / GUDAURI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for Stepantsminda and hike* through breathtaking scenery. The trail winds through green hills and coniferous forests, offering panoramic views of the high peaks of the Caucasus and Mount Kazbegui at 5047 m. * Hiking time approx. 3 hrs round trip. Please bring walking shoes. Not recommended for people in poor physical condition.

Visit the Guegueti church, one of the country's most famous religious sites. The church dates back to the 14th century and stands at an altitude of 2170 m. Return to Stepantsminda.

Lunch at the restaurant. Afternoon discovery of the magnificent Dariali Valley.

Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

GUDAURI / MTSKHETA / UPLISTIKHE / GORI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for the former capital of Georgia, Mtskheta. It's also one of the country's oldest cities.

Visit to Mtskheta: Djvari monastery (6th c.) and Svetiskhoveli cathedral (10th c.).

The Djvari monastery is located on a rocky knoll overlooking ancient Mtskheta. The missionary Saint Nino is said to have erected the cross here to mark the arrival of Christianity in the country. Svetiskhoveli is considered one of the holiest places in the country, as it is here that the tunic of Jesus Christ, brought to Georgia in the 1st century, is buried. It is also the burial place of Georgian monarchs. Both sites are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Lunch at the restaurant, then departure for Uplistikhe.

Visit the troglodyte town of Uplistikhé.

Discover this troglodyte city dating back to the 4th century BC, located on the famous Silk Road. Caves, wine cellars (marani), Georgian stoves (thoné), the three-aisled basilica carved into the rock and the ancient theater are all on display.

Drive to Gori, Stalin's birthplace. Photo stop in front of his birthplace and armored wagon.

Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7

GORI / TBILISI

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the capital.

Stroll along Aghmashenebeli Avenue, renowned for its architectural charm, ancient buildings and rich history. Stop off at the Pont Sec flea market to discover local life and its hidden treasures.

Afterwards, visit Trinity Cathedral, an impressive example of modern religious architecture and the largest religious building in the Caucasus. Its majestic silhouette dominates the Tbilisi landscape.

Lunch in restaurant.

Free afternoon to enjoy Tbilisi at your own pace.

In the evening, farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Night at hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 8

TBILISI / PARIS

Breakfast included. Rooms vacated by 12:00 pm.

Transfer to the airport (without French-speaking assistance). Departure for France.
